The project HANDS ON was inspired by experiences shared within the group of fellow female artists during one-month residency at Kulturschoepfer, Berlin.
A woman’s body, no matter how fragile it seems, can endure a lot: an incurable disease, an exhausting physical activity, brutal working conditions, an eternal fight for the right to self-expression. These struggles make us unique, yet help us connect on a deeper level. Just like Berlin does. The chosen imagery represents a ritual of gathering together around the fireplace in a newly found home and finding precious human connection by exchanging stories, thoughts and dreams.
